Daisy prints were featured in several resort/spring 2012 collections. Some were bright and bold, others more on the muted side. Here is some of my inspiration for today’s fabric finds:

I was able to find lots of quilting-weight cottons featuring daisy prints. There [...] I am a big fan of the Southwestern-inspired designs that are so popular right now – I am especially in love with Pendleton’s Portland Collection! I really want to make something - probably a bag – with a Southwestern fabric.

{Pics from Style.com Designers: Suno, Stella McCartney, Moschino Cheap & Chic} A reader left a comment the other day saying that she was looking for fabric similar to Stella McCartney’s citrus print. As it turns out, several designers featured fruit prints in their Spring 2011 collections. Although I didn’t find anything resembling Stella’s, I still [...] I like to get ideas before fabric shopping because I tend to get overwhelmed ….so I thought it would be kinda fun to take some inpiration from the runway and see what I could find. The D&G Spring 2011 collection had tons of fun colors, floral prints, gingham, lace and denim, all of which I [...] I just saw that the Libery of London spring/summer 2011 fabric collection is out. They always have such great prints. Here are a few of my favorites. Aren’t they cute?
I love these crochet trims – all are from various etsy sellers. I think they would be great for embellishing t-shirts, purses, pillows, cardigans….

It kind of reminds me of summer camp art class. However, I have to say that tie-dye has actually started to grow on me. A lot of designers have really made it look modern. I have my eye on this tie-dyed bag from Anthropologie:
Of course, tie dyeing [...] I found these fabrics online at Portsmouth Fabric Company. They were designed by Kaffe Fassett.
Ikat fabric has been pretty popular both in fashion and home decor for the past few years. I don’t think it really ever goes out of style, though. I am loving this ikat dot print fabric from Parasol Co. It is quilting-weight cotton and comes in both blue and red. I’m thinking one of these would [...]  |
