I Want Some Bell Bottoms

Since Almost Famous has always been one of my favorite movies, I was excited to see that Free People created a “70′s Groupie” collection inspired by Miss Penny Lane. I mean, who doesn’t secretly want to be Penny Lane, right? Anyways, although I am not ready to retire my skinnies, I really have been wanting a pair of bell bottoms.

Here are some of the Free People bell bottoms (I feel a DIY coming on).

Personally, I would like a pair of these 7 for all Mankind bell bottoms.

Super Easy DIY: Asymmetric Cropped T-Shirt

Ok, so this would be a really easy way to spice up a plain old t-shirt.

DIY Inspiration: Tulle Bow T-Shirt

This Red Valentino t-shirt ($165) would be a super easy DIY project. You could even just pin the bow on instead of sewing it if you wanted to make it removable.

This would be an easy DIY – Just grab a t-shirt, cut off one sleeve & give it an asymmetrical hem.

I thought I was done posting about gingham, but then I came across this dress and just had to share. Isn’t it adorable? It is from La Casita de Wendy, a company based in Madrid.

On-Trend: Seersucker Fabric

Seersucker makes me happy. Perhaps that is because it can only mean 1 thing – SUMMER! What can I say? I grew up in cold Northern Wisconsin.
