Here is a super easy tutorial you can do in no time at all. I saw something similar to this several years ago and always thought it was a cute idea.
This is my tank before. I got it at Forever 21 for $3.50.

This is how it turned out:
What you need:
A Tank Top (or t-shirt)
2 Venise Lace Appliques (or Venice lace, I see it spelled both ways)
Pins
Sewing Machine
Thread (the same color as the appliques)
Scissors
Step 1: Pin 1 applique in place at the neckline. Turn the other applique upside down and pin it to the bottom of your tank, centered over one of the side seams. If you have a fitted tank like mine, pin the appliques on while you are wearing it. That way you won’t have wierd stretch issues later.
Step 2: Sew around the outside of the appliques.
Step 3: Cut the fabric away close to your stitch line.
Easy, right? All together, this cost about $9.00.

This is one of the prettiest and simplest tank top refashions I have ever seen! I pretty much live in tanks year round, but I wanted something to pretty them up a bit… I’ve now found the solution! :0)
